99 Spec doors and rear glass

Been thinking of some possible upgrades and wanted to sound them out:

Does the 99 spec rear glass fit an '94 rear hatch? (Want to pick up some factory tinted glass, any ideas?)

Can the 99 spec doors with the added reinforcements/crash bar integration be retrofitted? Seems like it would be a nice thing to have for side impacts, even though there's the extra weight.

Wouldn't worry too much Andy, if someone crashes side on into you it's gonna hurt in any 90s car

Would be an interesting thing to do (assuming I could find a pair of doors!)

99 Spec glass should look pretty sweet though, seeing @Ceylon 's glass made me realise how great the factory tint looks (hidden demister lines etc). I'll probably end up doing tint film while keeping an eye out.

I thought the later door crash bar was not introduced until after 2000 and therefore not all '99 cars had them?

Fairly certain you are correct. I believe the change was September 2000
