1992 Mazda RX-7 FD3S Efini (@Lambert.FD)

Hey, Yes that is exactly what this is. Feed do a bonnet just like this but I have searched for years to find one in the UK and had no luck. You can buy the FEED ones from the US or RHD Japan but the price + shipping to get it over to the UK is absolutely ridiculous! The wider wings were also exactly the same thing.

Martin from Concept 7 said he would help me get this sorted if I continued to struggle to find the items, which I did, so I went ahead with his offer to make the items for me.

He said this bonnet will be just a one off for my Rx7 only, because the work involved to make this was very tricky and time consuming however the 25mm Oem style wider wings can be made for other owners for £300 a pair.

Quality! Yeah shipping + duty is horrendous on items like that. Nice to know Martin offers an alternative for the wings at least 👌

Next modification as arrived! - Carbon Fibre headlight Surrounds which replace the OEM horrible looking faded ones to these nice glossy carbon fibre versions.

To help get the new carbon fibre versions made to the best standard possible, I sent my Oem ones to him so he could make the exact mould that came off my Rx7 FD.

These were made by @Elite.Carbon.Composites which you can find on Instagram.

Price for these to be made were - £300

A YouTube video will follow on my channel when I get a chance.

Carbon Fibre Headlight Surrounds Update - I managed to get some time to quickly check out the quality of these items and try them out on the car to get an idea of what they look like and I'm very pleased with what I have received.

See my latest short video below showing you the parts received and installing them to my RX7 FD build.

Those carbon surrounds look gorgeous, nice job. Just need some sexy projectors instead of the crap OEM lights.

Thank you, Yes they are bugging the S*** out of me now, so I might try and make my own set at some point as said in the video (y)

There are a few how-tos of retrofitting generic projectors into stock housing out there, finding the clear lenses is the hard part. IIRC someone did grind out and polish the stock lenses.

Yeah I've seen a few videos too and saved them for now. What I was thinking of doing is buying a set of clear versions for £150 off Ebay then splitting them apart to build the internals how I want them. Its still way more cheaper than ordering them from RX lights or similar.

PART 2 - Installing the new red leather seats into the Rx7 FD. Part 3 to follow in the future!

SAS Autoworks Single Turbo Kit update!

After many patiently waited months, I finally got the phone call to pick up my brand new SAS Autoworks single turbo kit. I have made a YouTube video on my Rotary & Rides Channel if you would like to see the kit in more detail.

I 100% recommend getting one of these kits from SAS Autoworks as it's very good quality parts for the rotary engines with many other Turbo choices that match your build goals.

This is what kit I went for below:
Cost £3915 (that's with a mid pipe added)
* BorgWarner Airwerks S300sx-e 61mm 83/70 T4 twin scroll turbo with extra 90 degree pipe added for V-mount kit install.
* SAS Autoworks T4 twin scroll manifold
* SAS Autoworks Downpipe of choice
* SAS Autoworks 40mm Dump tubes
* 2x Turbo smart gen-V 40mm comp gates
* SAS Autoworks heater Matrix relocation pipe
* V band clamp for downpipe
* 2 bolt gasket and bolts for downpipe
* 4x m10 high tensile steel studs and copper nuts for the turbo
* T4 turbo gasket
* SAS decals
* SAS Autoworks 3 “mid pipe, 1 x new rubber hanger, New gaskets, fitting hardware & High temp silicone RTV

I do have further plans for this kit before its fitted such as turbo blanket, coating the turbo and manifold and also heat wrapping the downpipe etc.

A lot of money but they do look really nice. It's a shame they didn't go the extra mile to wire it to the proper connector.
