Went for a little meet down my cousins house as hes just bought a nissan s15 fitted with a forged rb25det, heres a pic of his s15 and brothers s13,

S13 is just about to go to get its engine fitted ect, should be cool once done.

Done an oil and filter change today at 39862 miles

Just been driving it daily and enjoying it .

After months of looking for a rear light for a semi decent price i got a new drivers rear light as i messed the last one up by heating it up to try reseal it, lucky i got a pre99 spec light and transfered my 99spec internals into it and now looks perfect

So metup with my mate last week and my rear caliper got stuck on with the hand brake, so ordered a used good caliper, new pads , discs and new rear brake cables, also new springs for the hand brake return.

hopefully the cables come this week so i can fit it all together.

After i took the wheel off i had a look around the body work underneath and thought as its pretty clean still with only minimal surface rust i should have it cleaned ,wirebrushed, treated, primed/ painted ect and undersealed to preserve it before it does start getting bad. As i drive this car in all weathers.

While its their im having the drivers headlight mounting bucket removed and a new panel spot welded in as mine has a few holes in it.

Hopefully il be having the engine bay painted at the same time if funds allow.


Also the rear passenger wing is being partly removed at the seams as under the tailgate the paint is flaking off and id like to know if their is anything going on under there and if it is that will be resolved too , then the wing painted,roof,bonnet and headlight covers.

Hopefully it will come out looking better then ever


Went to pick my son up from school yesterday and a wild rx7 pulled up behind me for a chat

Always crazy seeing another rx7 out and about running and having a good chat with the owners. Hopefully we will be going out for a drive to m4karting as their is a little show there sunday.

Its funny because when they were cheap i feel like no one drove them and they just built them in their garage for years, now these cars are alot more money ive see so many more on the road.

Went to m4karting to a little meet/show . Cars didnt skip a beat was a good morning bar the rain on the way there and back.

Brake cables came today so fitted them , also fitted new hand brake return springs, new to me caliper, new bleed nipple on that caliper, new brake pads, and new discs.
And now the hand brake works again.

Sent the car away to have the underside wirebrushed primed painted ect then undersealed. Ready for all weathers as i drive this daily. They Said the underside was in real good condition but i just wanted to protect it anyway.

Also had my headlight mounting bucket replaced as it had a small hole in it from when it sat for many years before i bought it ,so all the old crusty one was removed and a new panel was fitted .

I know how expensive those ant roll links are FairPlay! any reason you didn’t go for the hard race ones instead?

No reason really just ordered stock ones only because someone rounded off one of the nuts on the drop link itself and it was affecting my feelings knowing it was like that so thought id change both of them for peace of mind

It's easy to forget how awesome an "OEM+" 92 is!

Took the car for the mot passed with flying colours like usual.

But then i was blessed this morning by a thud when i went to start it. Not good.

Took the starter motor off then cleaned up the connections then back on and its working good. Think the small spade connection got gummed up with dirt and wasnt making a good connection. Hopefully .

Yeah it is, i just think the spade wire was a bit dirty cos once i put everything back together it fired up like normal, was strange it did it because i drive it everyday.

Refreshed the ignition switch just after i had the starter issue just incase and eliminate that from future issues.

As u can see it was very dirty inside, all copper was cleaned up and then polished to a mirror finish then dielectric grease on all contacts.

Also cleaned up the plug connections too.

Very easy todo takes like 5 mins but also have a brand new one to go on.

No issues so far been driving and enjoying it .

Oil and filter change at 41503 miles

Also did the belts too as i had this spacer made for the dm idler pulley as when someone worked on it they lost it and the belt was making a chirping noise

When i was under the bonnet noticed this one way valve was broken in half so looks like i will have to source a few of these and redo them all.

Noticed a pulley had a little bit if noise when rotated when i was doing the belts so i changed it out too.

also found another check valve to replace the old broken one from when i simplified the rats nest .
