Hey all,

I know this topic is extensively covered but just wanted to share my experience installing these blind BEFORE reading all the threads on here:

I bought these Philips Ultinon Pro3021 LED Car Headlight Bulb (H4) blind off Amazon for £45: Here

They fit with only minor modification of the rubber headlight bulb cover.

I did this with a spare set of covers by turning them inside out, feeling where the rubber goes slightly thinner from the 'threaded' inner and drilled a small hole.
Then took a sharp blade and cut the thick centre to meet this hole.

The heatsink now fits through this and provides a reasonable seal.

The bulbs need fitting in the headlight with the covers on, and this is fiddly but can be done with some practice.
The bulb retention clips need moving around the bulb, which can be difficult but does work.

These are almost fully plug and play and much cheaper than some of the other options i've seen reccomended.
Of course the modification to the cover means the seal wont be watertight, but i can handle that.
They clear the headlight basket and plug right in.

So newbie question, does the rubber backing hold the lamp in place? Is the cable from the lamp to the connector stock or did you have to source that? Thanks

The rubber boot is weather protection :)
I bought some, and while I've not attempted to fit them yet, I did notice that you can actually detach the plastic portion that has the mounting tabs, so I think you might not have to cut the boot after all. (Beware, you can put the plastic bit on the wrong way around, which would probably end up blinding everyone :) )
