Steering wheel boss for 92 non airbag

Hi guys, having a bit of trouble finding a steering wheel boss to fit my 92 non airbag FD, the car has a clock spring with a rectangular plug at the top, the only one momo list has a contact ring on the back and no hole for the horn plug/wiring. I've tried a HKB, it would work but the steering column is tapered and the boss isn't. Anyone else had this problem? Did you find a solution? I'd rather not butcher the clock spring or drill out the momo boss, I've googled it to death but found nothing really.

I'm most likely going to have the same problem, I would just dremel the boss to accommodate for the plug as it will be needed for the horn to work right?

I did think about that but don't know if making a hole in it is such a good idea, surely it can't be good for it structurely, the momo boss is collapsible for safety. Found a few people in the US with a similar problem with MX5's and they have removed the clock spring, made up a brass bracket that bolts in place using one of the clock spring mounting holes and makes contact with the contact ring in the boss. You have to modify to wiring obviously to attach it to the brass bracket.
Not sure which way I'm going to do it yet but I'll let you know how I get on

Im in the same boat! What HKB hub have you got the OR-119? I think its the OR-127 we need but no one lists in the UK!

Yes I have the 0R-119, that what you have? My momo one fits on the steering column but the clock spring plug for the horn hits it, the HKB one would fit if I removed to contact ring on it, but it's feels like it's not tapered and won't go on the column. I've measured them both this morning with a vernier and the HKB is the same dimensions as the momo so it is tapered, I'm going to try again, maybe I'm missing something. I'll keep you posted.
