Looking for a bit of advice to see if I'm in the right direction

The other day I went to start the car and it turned over as normal but wouldn't start, left it 10 secs tried again and it started on the second crank, went for a drive and all seemed OK

Tried again the following morning and the exact same thing but this time driving the car it cut out once and twice felt like it was away to stall but revs picked up

I noticed when tuning the ignition on I cannot hear the fuel pump prime/run

I have tested the ignition to the second position there is 12v to the pump connector, along with 6v which I'm guessing is the fuel sender

I have ordered a new fuel pump as I'm thinking that's where the problem is and was going to get the fuel filter changed on the service in a few weeks anyway

Is there anything else that could cause this?

Just to update on this incase anyone has the same issue

I could hear relays clicking randomly when I was testing or turning the ignition on with no real pattern

Checked the egi relay and I was getting 12v to the coil and switch with ignition on, put a jumper over the switch wires and the car started everytime, with the egi relay back in again it was sporadic

Tested the relay and thought the coil was gone as it was 1.9 mega ohms however on closer inspection it has a diode in series to prevent reverse polarity, I assume to protect the ecu

When testing the switch I would sometimes get 0.2 ohms with it working but sometimes it would be up at like 50 ohms

Installed a new relay and it's been fine everytime
