Had the rx7 motd and i had to abort the test due to emissions reading real high, which i already knew but the mot guys dont like that anymore it seems.

Apparently the co is ment to read less then 3.5 but it was reading over 8 on the machine on a non cat pre 95 test.

Car runs and drives fine.

Car : intakes, full exhaust, feeddownpipe, knightsports cat, ngk9 sparkplugs, front mount, apexi ecu Mapped by jaydee and stu.
Airpump delete.

Just had new plugs and oil change too.

Can a Rx7 even pass the non cat test? 😂.

Has anyone got any info on what todo next, or what to do to get these numbers lower?

Thanks

You can reduce the pim? Voltage on the handcontroller, this will reduce the emissions slightly, been a long time since I had to do this but I doubt it will get you low enough

Still struggling to find someone to look at this i live near bath/bristol area if anyone knows someone. hopefully i wont have to put it in storage.

You just need to go round to local MOT places and find some enthusiasts of modified cars rather than your general MOT station.

Someone will help you if you are honest. It’s what I did.

If you don’t mind travelling, Dave at Thames Valley MOT is a good option. He’s about 1.5hrs from Bath. I’ve been taking my 7 to him for years. He has and has had a number of 7’s himself.

Is it an import or uk car?

Mine is a 95 import, and several local garages have said without me asking, because its an import, their tester does not have the model in its database. Therefore they cannot test for emissions.
