Afternoon all, happy new year.
For those not and those in the FB group, I was wondering if people were keen for another event this year. Bicester last year was a good turn out and always lovely to be there, but I felt lacking a bit in atmosphere and goings on. So after some searching about for somewhere interesting and in a central enough location for all, I wondered about Shelsley Walsh.
We could have the paddock and hill completely to ourselves for the entire day - Sunday the 26th of July - it's the only date they can do. I've not been but I'm lead to believe they have a cafe, the paddock is undercover, so provides great photo ops and wet weather options. Unlimited runs on the hill with no sound limit, so abit of action as well.
It would need to be £80/car to cover the hire and insurance, and we would need 130cars to make it work.
I would leave this open to all out rotary engined cousins....but as always expected FDs and 7s to be the vast majority.
What are peoples thoughts?
Happy to look at other locations if there are ideas(most tracks are too expensive or too quiet). Finding somewhere centralish, that can hold 100+ cars and has all weather options is tricky.
Thoughts on a postcard please.
*admin apologies if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move accordingly.
