Rebuilding engine

At the process of rebuilding the engine finally but I’ve got it all together and now setting the end play but the dial gauge is showing about 5mm instead of the .5mm it should be any ideas ? What have I missed before I pull it all apart , fly wheel torqued to 350 , key weight is in , any ideas as no why it’s so slack ?

Fit the front pulley.

figured it lol , clip I watched on it didn’t have the pulleys on the end , so I was trying to do it with the bare nut lol
