Hi All, first time posting as ive recently aquired an FD Series 8. Very new to the rotary + sequential turbo world. The main issue ive ran into is im having an issue where i practically lose all boost entirely. it boosts fine for maybe 5-10 mintes every time i first drive the car that day, then after that it looses all power and just about makes it out of vacuum on the boost gague. It also has a very loud squeak/hissing sound that i initially thought was coming from one of the belts but then realised its only happening at around 3k rpm which made me think it might be a loud air leak hence the turbo issue. The fact its intermittent and the turbos clearly work (when they want to) gives me confidence the turbos themselves are fine and hopefully its something smaller, just a case of finding that issue. Is there anything these symptoms point towards in anyones knowledge? I think realistically ill be replacing all the vac lines along with check valves and the solenoids as the system is pushing 30 years old now, just want to know if theres anything to look out for while the upper manifold is all off.
New to me rx7 fd boost issues.
