When posting items for sale in the 'parts for sale' please abide by the following:

  • One item per topic
  • Include at least 1 image of the item
  • Include a price

All forum sales will go through paypal as goods. This will limit the potential of scamming using the pay 'friends and family' option. We provide a platform to sell your items in the safest way possible. We will do everything in our power to ensure all trades are fair however sales are at your own risk, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is.

Once your item has been sold the topic will automatically be marked as sold and the option of paying will be removed.

If you sell the item outside of the site you need to edit your post to remove the payment option.

How to close sale:

Visit your item and select manage sale:
14794

Change the sale status to 'Sold'
14795

Thanks,
Matt

OK so it would seem that we have been hearing of a few instances of sellers asking buyers to cover PayPal fees or send payments as a gift. As Matt has alluded to above, all forum sales go thru PayPal as goods so as to try and protect members. If you aren’t happy with PayPal fees, you can account for these in the price. We also recommend that buyers put the correct delivery address on any payments and that sellers only ship to that address.

As sellers it's also recommended to post via signed for and insured delivery.
This way if something goes missing or damaged, providing it's packaged correctly, the insurance pays out.
This also means that if a buyer says they haven't received something when they have, your proof of delivery proves this.
This is the only way to sell things securely on the internet.
If you don't like paying for postage, factor that into your price.

FYI I use parcel monkey. DPD usually works best for me as both seller and buyer (y)

DO NOT pay friends and family or western union or bank transfer or post unrecorded, unless you're happy to lose it.

Conversely DO NOT accept PayPal if you deliver in person or have collection without having a signed receipt. But preferable to do cash on collection/delivery as buyer can just commence a charge back if there is no postage confirmation or signed receipt together with some other proof (pic of drivers licence inc signing section)

Are wanted adds still ok?

I assume they are as there isnt anything to say otherwise but clarity is best.
