Exhaust Valve

Curious, anyone ever fitted an Exhaust "Divertor " Valve on an FD, so just after Down Pipe probably an additional straight Oval section (due to space) slash cut coming out under drivers seat area ? , keeping the main Exhaust in place , Just thinking aloud , very a loud would it even seal or take the heat from a Rotary ?
Just getting them done on my F Type so kind surprised I don't recall it being a thing on a Rotary , literally just for fun and causing a bloody nuisance

People have fitted them in the past. I can't remember the specifics of any installs, I think some brands have an internal bypass

I run one on my RX7, i ran one when i was rotary too., my 2P is try keep it as far away from the engine as posible. I ran mine on the downpipe and it used to stick open.

Turbosmart's straight gates look like they'd be ideal for this sort of thing, not cheap though.
