EBC Big brake upgrade

My car has gone in today for the first measure for a EBC big brake kit, for anyone interested these should be available in a few months, don't have any specs ATM but will post when i do all i do know is it will be calibers, pads, 2 piece discs, SS hoses and all hardware needed, similar to the kit linked below

Yes fronts only but i think they do provide upgrades rear pads in the kit

Are they going to try and keep piston size close to the Stoptech kit for brake bias?

That seems to be a massive hot topic with BBK's and could do well if they can.

So i had a chat with them today when i collected the car.
Callipers will be 4 port with a smaller leading piston (same as the RS ones i have) same as shown above, but didn't have the piston specs to hand. Discs will be approx 350mm 2 piece

This thread has some excellent information on it. The Stoptech pistons 30/36mm staggered were the closest to stock brake bias.

Yes they are testing it with stock 17" wheels

I did speak to them again last year and my contact had left, the new guy said they would reach out when then needed the car but let me follow it up again

I emailed them and got a pretty quick reply as it goes.

They did have my car sometime ago for a day so not sure if they got all the measurements they needed or not, they did say they would have it back in to test fit but as i say that never happened and the guy i dealt with left....will keep you posted

So EBC came back to me, they are going to send me a kit to try just need to choose which one

I hope all is well, thank you for reaching out, so I have recently been going through the back catalogue and releasing kits for the older Japanese platforms, as you may have seen the s-chassis and NA1/2 NSX kits are now available, and the A80 Supra & FD RX7 kits are due to be released next month.



For the FD, we will be releasing a 4-piston 330mm variant as well as a 6-piston 355mm kit.

Happy to be told I'm wrong but it's only the likes of PB brakes and K-Sport that do rears.

There's also Julian here in the UK that does a rear set up using Hi-Spec callipers.

Looking at EBC apollo brake kits it's be about £2k

Would be amazing if someone cast the bigger RS/RZ rear brake hangers and knocked them out

Edit. I've just seen a load of hangers available from Japan. Last time i looked these simply were not available

No. Was always only fronts, sounds like they should be on the website soon. Tbh I doubt I will use mine as I have RS brakes which are decent and not running big power so might sell them on
