Looking to install an A/C system back into the car as it had it all removed before i got it

I noticed the condenser is discontinued - anyone used the rx8 one and got instructions ?

Also anyone make custom A/C lines as i'll probably need some due to the VMIC

I managed to get a condenser last year from japan, part number is in the EPC, mazda uk couldn't find it for some reason, but japan had no problem.
There's a few people who have done it on rx7club, just be weary on some of their details as their condensers and driers are different "MANA" systems rather than our uk/jdm denso systems. Also most of their cars run R12, but most (all?) jdm cars run R134a
Try and find a local A/C shop for custom lines etc, they should be able to crimp up new ones quite easy.

If the condenser is discontinued and you've got to make lines up, then you could go for a universal condenser?

This might be of some help, although its aimed at installing AC for a V8 conversion using the GM compressor, with universal condenser, dryer and custom lines, it does cover the parts of the Mazda AC system.

As for fabricating AC lines, it depends on if you want to have hose or hard lines? If it was hardline, I understand that this company can do it, but haven't used them.

Thanks I’ve dropped them an email - let’s see if the rx8 condenser can be used as they are 60 vs 300 and the dryer is along side too

It should be just a case of making the headlines and finding suitable connectors but we will see

Can anyone confirm that my 2000 type rs has the r134 gas?
Possibly getting it re filled, so want to make sure I’m trying to get the correct gas put in.
thanks

I'd be interested to find out how you get on. Mine still has the pump attached to the engine but no belt, condenser, drier etc.

sorry for reviving an old thread. I'm getting my 7's ac put back in as it has no condensor or drier - how did the rx8 condenser/drier work out?
Interested in this also, would like ac back and have many rx8 parts knocking about
